'The Sisters of St Joseph: Educational Endeavours at Mount Street, North Sydney' exhibition

1 April - 1 December 2016

Sesquicentenary

To celebrate the Sisters of St Joseph's Sesquicentenary (1866 - 2016), the Museum will be opening the first of three special exhibitions to the public from 1 April - 11 December 2016.

The first exhibition, 'The Sisters of St Joseph: Educational Endeavours at Mount Street, North Sydney', explores the evolution of the Sisters of St Joseph Mount Street site as a teacher training centre. The site incorporates a Novitiate, the first free school building established in Mary MacKillop’s period of residency and the nucleus of the development of the site as a college of advanced education.
