Mary MacKillop Place Museum provides a wide range of education programs. These include:

Guided Tours

Our 90 minute tours are interactive and student-centred. The tours are curriculum based and ideal for students from Year 4 to 12 who are studying various topics eg Church History, Saints, Social Justice and Australian History. Staff/Student Reflection Days

Mary MacKillop Place offers you the opportunity of enjoying a staff or student reflection day with a difference. Your reflection day may include facilitation from one of the Sisters of St Joseph, a museum tour and use of conference facilities. School Holiday Program

This program has been designed to provide primary-aged children with opportunities to explore the life and times of Mary MacKillop – Australia’s first saint. 

School Holiday Program

Children will be able to:

  • Enjoy art and craft activities
  • Experience the Old Bush Schoolhouse
  • Explore Alma Cottage - Mary's home
  • Discover Mary's travelling trunk
  • Learn more about Australia's first Saint.

School Holiday Program

The holiday program details:

  • Offered during the NSW school holidays (April, July and October)
  • Runs for two hours (10.00am to 12.00pm)
  • Delivered and fully supervised by the Education Officer (qualified primary teacher)
  • Parents/carers are welcome to stay with the children or take a tour through the Museum
  • Costs $7.00 per child (includes morning tea)
  • Bookings are essential!
