Mary MacKillop Place Museum provides a wide range of education programs. These include:
Guided Tours
Our 90 minute tours are interactive and student-centred. The tours are curriculum based and ideal for students from Year 4 to 12 who are studying various topics eg Church History, Saints, Social Justice and Australian History. Staff/Student Reflection Days
Mary MacKillop Place offers you the opportunity of enjoying a staff or student reflection day with a difference. Your reflection day may include facilitation from one of the Sisters of St Joseph, a museum tour and use of conference facilities. School Holiday Program
This program has been designed to provide primary-aged children with opportunities to explore the life and times of Mary MacKillop – Australia’s first saint.
Children will be able to:
- Enjoy art and craft activities
- Experience the Old Bush Schoolhouse
- Explore Alma Cottage - Mary's home
- Discover Mary's travelling trunk
- Learn more about Australia's first Saint.

The holiday program details:
- Offered during the NSW school holidays (April, July and October)
- Runs for two hours (10.00am to 12.00pm)
- Delivered and fully supervised by the Education Officer (qualified primary teacher)
- Parents/carers are welcome to stay with the children or take a tour through the Museum
- Costs $7.00 per child (includes morning tea)
- Bookings are essential!
