At Mary MacKillop, we offer engaging and meaningful educational experiences that bring the story, spirituality and legacy of Saint Mary MacKillop to life. Designed for students from the Early Years through to Year 12, our experiences connect learning with the Early Years Learning Framework, Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE) and Catholic Religious Education curricula.
Through storytelling, reflection and exploration, students are encouraged to discover Mary MacKillop’s life, her commitment to education, her faith, and her dedication to serving others.
Each experience is thoughtfully designed to suit the age, learning needs and outcome focus of each Stage, providing opportunities for students to deepen their historical understanding, explore their faith and reflect on how Mary’s values continue to inspire us today.
Through guided or self-guided experiences, students investigate the people, places and events that shaped Mary MacKillop’s life and the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart, while exploring themes of compassion, courage, equity, service and social responsibility
