Mary MacKillop Memorial Chapel

Mary MacKillop Place Museum

The museum welcomes visitors, pilgrims and school groups with the remarkable story of Mary MacKillop, Australia’s first Saint, and the co-founder of the Sisters of St Joseph’s order, Fr Julian Tenison Woods.

Gift Shop & Cafe

Our gift shop and online store offers a range of carefully selected and beautifully crafted items. The café provides a vibrant and welcoming environment with indoor and outdoor seating. Free WiFi is also available.

Education & Learning

We welcome groups for an enriched learning experience. Immerse yourself in the spirit and history of our Museum in an enjoyable, interactive and informative way. Visits can be tailored to learning outcomes or preferences.

Good to Know

Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located near the Chapel and Gift Shop & Café.

Guide dogs are welcome, along with certified assistance animals. Dog bowls are available on-site in the cafe courtyard.

The Museum supports the Companion Card Program, offering free entry for companions of cardholders. We also provide concessional rates for Seniors Card holders. Simply present your card upon arrival to receive your discount.

Capture your personal memories at Mary MacKillop Place! Guest photography is allowed in the museum, chapel and outdoor grounds. Please refrain from using flash photography in the museum.
