Celebrate the Australian Heritage Festival with a Curator Tour of the Mary MacKillop Place Museum.
Step inside the story at Mary MacKillop Place, a vibrant heritage precinct in the heart of North Sydney, where history, faith, and community continue to meet.
Join Anna Ridley, Curator of the Mary MacKillop Place Museum, for a special guided tour to see the Museum and historic Alma Cottage through the eyes of our Curator.
Along the way, discover the extraordinary story of Mary MacKillop and Julian Tenison Woods, whose vision led to the founding of the Sisters of Saint Joseph. Through personal stories, historic spaces, and fascinating objects, you’ll gain insight into the beginnings of the order and the Sisters’ continuing work to carry forward Mary’s legacy of compassion, courage, and service.
The tour concludes in the peaceful Mary MacKillop Memorial Chapel, the final resting place of Saint Mary, offering a moment to reflect in one of Australia’s most significant pilgrimage sites.
