Volunteering at Mary MacKillop Place

Mary MacKillop Place shares the story and legacy of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop with all visitors. This would not be possible without the dedication and work of our Volunteers.

All of our Volunteers are dedicated to promoting the life, work and spirituality of Mary MacKillop.

Mary MacKillop Place welcomes and values the contribution of Volunteers and recognises the wide range of skills and knowledge that they bring with them.

Some of areas in which our Volunteers may assist are:

  • Museum guiding for Student and Adult Groups
  • Museum Reception
  • Café and Gift Shop
  • Behind the Scenes, e.g. assisting with general office work, research, data entry, cataloguing.

Please note that all volunteers are required to have or obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC) number. They may also be required to obtain a volunteer police check.
