Museum, Cafe and Gift Shop are closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Accessibility

We aim to provide a friendly accessible environment for all visitors and the widest possible access to all the museum buildings and amenities.

GALLERY ACCESS

All galleries are on street level and accessible via ramps.

DISABLED PARKING

There is one-hour metered parking in Mount Street and several private car parking stations within walking distance. Car parks that are wheelchair accessible are listed on the North Sydney Access Map. Download the map to plan your visit.

Visitors and companions can drop off and pick up on the Mary MacKillop place site. Enter the site via William Street and proceed to the Anderledy Lodge front entrance located at the top of the drive. Guest services staff can direct you to the Museum. The site is level.

BORROW A WHEELCHAIR

The museum has a wheelchair for use. The wheelchair is located at the admissions desk. Please notify the visitor service staff if you require a wheelchair prior to your visit.

TOILETS

Wheelchair accessible toilets are located within easy reach of the Museum and close to the Café and Gift Shop.

GUIDE DOGS

Guide dogs are welcome. Dog bowls are available.

CARERS/SENIORS CARD

The museum supports the companion card program for cardholders and their companions, as well as senior card holders. Just present your card on arrival for the concessional rate.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is permitted in the Museum, Chapel and outside in the grounds of Mary MacKillop Place. However, flash photography is not permitted within the Museum’s exhibition areas.

STORAGE

There is limited bag storage available at the Museum Reception.  Large bags cannot be taken into the Museum. The Museum takes all care but accepts no responsibility for belongings left in the storage area.  We recommend that you carry your valuables, eg. money and cameras when visiting the Museum.

FACILITIES

Amenities are available onsite, including disabled toilets.

There is free WiFi in the Cafe and Gift Shop.

VISITING WITH CHILDREN

If you are visiting with children, please ask at the admission desk for a copy of our Children’s Trail.
